Long Ago, In a Galaxy Far, Far Away Lies Disneyland’s Future
Walt Disney said that the park would never be complete as long as there is imagination left in the world. No words could be truer right now as Disneyland prepares to open an entire new land with major attractions all based on Star Wars. This will be one amazing new experience in a whole new section of the park behind the Rivers of America.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will take place in a new setting known as Batuu. This used to be a vibrant trading port once long ago, but with the advent of hyperspace, it has faded into the past. Now it will be used by those who are seeking not to be noticed—bounty hunters, rogue warriors, and plenty of Disney tourists.
Two major attractions will be found within this land. One is a grand ride through attraction that will place guests into the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Rebel Alliance. Another will allow guests to fly the Millennium Falcon as they seek to carry out a secret mission. Between the two major attractions are shops, cantinas, and plenty of entertainment.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will elevate a level of attendance never seen before at Disneyland. The truth is that the first year after it opens in 2019, it may be difficult to navigate getting into this experience, much less really enjoying it as well as the rest of the park. Therefore, you may want to get to Disneyland in 2018, while the attendance is more manageable. Then buckle up as Disneyland goes into warp speed.
