Meet Darcy
Hiya, Pals! My name is Darcy and I am, of course, addicted to Disney. My first trip was in 1996 for the 25th anniversary, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t love the cake castle. I continued traveling to Disney World many times growing up, and many more times as an adult. I am fortunate to have found a fiancé as addicted to Disney as I am. Him and I regularly visit the parks, and always make it a goal to try something new each time.
Kansas born and raised. I grew up on a large cattle farm. I became proficient on the back of a horse before I could walk. This turned into a lucrative career of competing at equestrian competitions across the country. I learned very young how to plan for travel. My airline and hotel point statuses were at the highest level before I could even drive. I grew up living out of a suitcase, seeing the world, cruising to new destinations, and of course frequenting the Castle. I know every tip and trick to scoring the best deals and reservations.
I started my own business when I was only 16 as a self taught graphic designer. I had contracts with many magazines and companies across the country. I expanded my knowledge in College at Kansas State University by studying Marketing and Social Media. I’ve worked for clothing designers and economic development organizations, but life after Covid has taught me where my true passions lie.
While I had planned many Disney trips in the past, our 2020 trip proved to be the most difficult, but also the most beneficial. After the closure, every week saw a new update. Keeping up with every rule, restriction, closure, and change was a huge task. However, I discovered a love for the research. To this day, I watch the latest Disney YouTube videos with my morning coffee, frequent the multiple Disney Facebook groups, and scour the Disney website for new information. I’m constantly checking the My Disney Experience app to see how long the wait times are, and maybe trying my hand at finding a hard to get dining reservation when I can’t sleep. I’m addicted to all things Disney planning, and the absolute perfect itineraries I put together. I am confident I can create your perfect itinerary as well.
